Our family comes from Orsogna, a small town in Abruzzo, and we were born and raised in Astoria, where our mother, Maddalena, filled the house with laughter and family dinners. She shared lessons learned in our Nonna’s kitchen, where simple ingredients, handmade pasta, homemade dough, garden produce, and tomato sauce made daily were part of everyday life. Tomato sauce was made fresh daily, another simple tradition that shaped the way our family cooked.

Sac’s began as a small pizzeria on the corner of Broadway and 29th Street in 1989. What started with occasional specials for regulars grew over the years, and in 1998, we expanded into a full-service Italian restaurant in Astoria.

Today, that same attention to quality continues through made-to-order dishes, handmade pasta, housemade sauces, and coal-brick oven pizza. We stay close to the traditions that brought us here, using carefully chosen ingredients and hands-on preparation while keeping our family recipes at the heart of the kitchen.
